Mary Jane Lumapas
Project Manager
I’ve spent over 20 years working across project management, client relations, and operations, and one thing I’ve learned is that successful projects are about more than just meeting deadlines. They’re about communication, teamwork, and making sure everyone knows what needs to happen next. At The Ad Firm, I help keep projects moving, coordinate people across different teams, manage client expectations, and bring structure to the many moving parts behind each project. I also enjoy finding ways to simplify processes and make work easier for the people involved.
What I like most about my role
I love seeing a project come together, especially when different teams work together to solve a problem and deliver something they can be proud of. I enjoy building good relationships with clients and teammates, finding practical solutions when challenges come up, and creating systems that help everyone stay organized and focused. For me, the best results happen when people feel supported and communication is clear.
Past Work Experience
My career began in customer support and training, which gave me a strong foundation in communication, problem-solving, and understanding client needs. I eventually moved into account management, project management, and operations, working across digital marketing, website development, technology, localization, and residential construction. Along the way, I’ve managed complex projects, coordinated cross-functional teams, improved workflows, and developed processes that help teams deliver consistently.
I’m a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and I’m particularly interested in project delivery, change management, and continuous improvement.
Hobbies outside work
Outside work, I love spending time with my family, traveling, and going fishing whenever I get the chance. Fishing is one of my favorite ways to unwind, even though one fishing trip once ended with me accidentally hooking myself and needing a week to recover! I also enjoy making memories with my family, especially my daughter, and finding time to enjoy life beyond work.
